TV or TV in cabinet?

Whatever this is it's in nice shape. It's not clear to me whether it's a cabinet with a TV sitting inside or if it's a console.

Anyone recognize it?

Very nice cabinet. It would have been nice to see it opened.

It looks like it might be a Stromberg Carlson.
It looks nice, for $75 someone should grab it and keep it from being gutted.

I saw a philco on earlytv.org that looks similar. Could this be a Philco 50-T1632? I can't find a photo of that particular model but I read some posts between you and kbmuri and thought you might know.

If it is a Philco would you steer away from it?

I tried contacting the seller asking about another photo and shipping. They don't have time to deal with the set until after New Years.

By then I hope my cataract will be corrected and I might be willing to take a 10 hour drive. A bit far for a rescue mission though.

I hope someone on the forum near eastern Pennsylvania grabs it.

I've seen a Capehart Farnsworth with that style cabinet also.

I might vote 1950-ish RCA.

It's about a 4 hour round trip for me. Does look like a RCA to me maybe another KSC-47. Bill might want this one.

I was basing my opinion on the curved appearance of the front, (I've seen Strombergs or is it Setchells? ) that have that, could be most anything I suppose.
