25" Zenith Console -or- table top TV?
 

How rare is this? This set is from '84, with screw on legs like a 50's/60's TV. Another Illinois gem, too far for me...

I had one of these but with the single rotary dial tuner. I used the legs for awhile but found out that it fit the tv slot of an entertainment center cabinet perfectly with no gaps around the edges. It lasted for years until a lightning strike took it out. It always had a great picture on it. You dont see many of this cabinet style around.

I've had a couple of those over the past several years. One belonged to my Cousin's church and I wound up with it after it died. Had a shorted electrolytic in the tuner, loading down the power supply. Replaced that and it worked perfect. I figure it was a low hour set since it came from a church.

The other was a TV shop discard. Needed a transistor on the 9-186 HV board to get it going again. I gave that one to a needy family and last I heard, it was still going.

The school system also had plenty of these when I was in school. Theirs had a pull on volume knob but the tuner was electronic with LED readout.
