Digital STREAM DTX9900 & Dolby Digital Surround?

I have a Digital STREAM DTX9900 converter box and I noticed in the specifications that the audio has "AC3 Audi (DD) Decoding" . What does that mean in a box that only has two channel output? what are you getting?

Just a wild guess, but I say it means that if the station is transmitting in DD, the box will convert it to the 2-ch analog output.
