I think I like working on Sharp TV's...

Fixed another Sharp TV, made in 1994, with its original remote. The remote has seen some heavy use as most of the channel numbers are worn off, yet it still works fine.

This TV had a horizontal syncing issue. Replacing two bad caps (including a 470uf@ 16 volt which measured at 49uf and dropped as I measured it) fixed the problem. Played the TV for a couple hours, letting it get hot, turning it on and off, watching a movie, and it's working great now.

CRT's in good shape too.

Sharp TVs are known for their simplicity in designs. There was a post earlier mentioning that Sharp TVs made in the 80s had a separate power supply board not mount on the main chassis.

They do, at least my rebadged one from 1987 does.
