21AUP4 wanted
Hi folks!!
I'm a new forum entry, this is my first message. I'm an italian boy, I'm 17yo. I like collecting and particulary repairing vintage radio and television. I've just restored a vintage italian TV set, a 1957 Geloso model GTV1014 television. Here you can see some photos and videos: http://www.radiopistoia.com/geloso.htm (about the end of page, click on the photo to get the others) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbwOJICxTlI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gToovC-w7Xo It works perfectly, but I'm looking at a NOS 21AUP4 (or 21AVP4, they're exactly same) to have a stock. For the delivery..... we're seeing later. Here in Italy and Europe this type of CRT is unobtainable. Thanks. |

Welcome dear friend, hope you get to enjoy a lifetime hobby with your old TVs.
I have two Canadian built 21-inch sets (1956 Viking and 1960 Electrohome), I'm slowly working on them. Best regards. |
In these days I'm going to replace the original 1B3GT HV rectifier, because the final anode voltage is only 9,000 volts instead of the 16,000 volts specified. In this way I hope to get more more brightness, without turning the control too high. I've got some problems to buy a 1B3GT good: one has the filament burnt, the seller sends me another tube, wich has an internal filament defect, hitting the glass with fingers the filament gets on and off. Damned 1B3GT!!!
