Astatic AT-1 vhf booster
 

I just won one of these old tv boosters on ebay for cheap. Does anyone have a schematic for one? I did some searching but came up empty.

The At-1 came in the mail today. It is the alleged more rare blond cabinet. The finish is in good shape. The insides look good but all 6ak5's are missing. I can't complain too much with shipping it cost less than 15 bucks. I can get the tubes for a 1.15 on sale at AES. Does anyone know the gain for these things? Any mod ideas? I had to have at least one of these for my collection.

I suppose it may work on digital TV signals as well as analog signals. If you don't have too much noise or ghosting...

At least for the one local that is staying on 13.

Aren't all current digital transmissions on UHF?

Nope. From what I understand 7 to 14 will be used for digital as well as the lower part of uhf up to 50 something or other. Channels 2 to 6 do not work well for digital supposedly, but are they down for the count??? They have done a bad job at informing people. The stations as well. I have gone to a few station web sites and read their DTV Faq's many are missing the vital information such as Finale frequency assignments. They have the current analog and temporary digital listed but not the final. And the translators...forget any info on them. They are not required to go digital yet, so they are going to stay analog until forced to do so which then confuses the consumer.
