Bad news everyone.

I got laid off again in July. Having been unable to find work, what I'm getting on unemployment makes a physical move necessary. I will have my place vacated Sunday and some of my sets in storage. The area I am moving to is not served by my current web provider, so my site may be down for a while. I will also be offline for a while. Hopefully, I'll find something soon.

My best wishes for finding a new job. :thmbsp:

Sometimes life goes that way,but every change like this is also an opportunity for something better to come into our lives. You'll have a lot of AK friends here sending good wishes your way. Your life should get a lot better, soon! In the meantime, stay upbeat, smell the roses and remember to be grateful for all that you still have and to enjoy what you can of this particular adventure in your life. Come back and tell us about the improvements
when and as they happen. Good luck! :thmbsp:

I've been there too often myself. Good luck. Do all the usual headhunters and such, but don't use pay sites, they're scams. What kind of work do you do?

Now that you said HVAC, I imagine you might participate in tradesman forums similar to http://www.electrical-contractor.net/ (this one is for electricians, but I've seen them mention the existence of HVAC forums). Such a forum may have a job category.

Big Dave 09-11-2008 11:37 AM

HVAC. Thanks everyone. At least where I'm going will be rent free. I will finally be able to bank some dough. I will find something. There is a possibility my former employer may have work available. I will volunteer to be on call. The only thing that could stop ne is lack of space. That's what storage is for. This is a new beginning.

Good luck, man. I have enjoyed meeting you at ETF conventions.

Every life has ups and downs. I have gone through a couple of downs in the last year or so.

If bad things never happened, we'd have nothing to measure against what's good :-)

Phil
