"Purple Noon" (1960, Alain Delon)
 

I just recently saw this movie. I had no idea that "The Talented Mr. Ripley" was based on this film.

The "Ripley" charactor is played by a French actor named Alain Delon. My dear mother always talked about A.D. when I was a kid. Never had a clue who he was.
VERY good movie!! You guys gotta check it out.

I liked "The Talented Mr. Ripley" very much. Probably the first time I thought Damon actually showed talent as an actor too. I will have to see this one.
