That fellow has some real talent, but it is amazingly creepy, It looks like it could be a beginning of a episode of the twilight zone. where one of the members of the audiokarma forum has a radio room identical to the one in the model. and discovers if anyone moves anything in the doll house, then the same thing happens in his radio room. do de do do do de do do!

Actually, I think that room is "cute", and very nicely done. Complete right down to tiny tubes inside of one piece! Obviously the maker knows a little about vintage audio and audio repair. This would make a nice Christmas gift for anyone into vintage audio... a decoration for the den (or these days, the "mancave")...

NO! I've got it! This is a way to start conditioning a little girl who is into dollhouses, to one day grow up to become the perfect AKer's wife! Stick this room in/on her dollhouse. Years after she has outgrown the dollhouse room, she'll be delighted when she notices hubby is starting to make the real family home resemble her childhood dollhouse! :yes: :thmbsp: :D

So THAT'S why things have been messed with in my Radio Room...Makes sense now...(grin)

The fellow's name is Walt Buffington. He's a fairly well know auctioneer in antique radio collecting circles and these miniatures seem to be his "thing."

Walt attended our Summer Swapmeet last year both as our auctioneer and as vendor of his tchotchkas. There are some photos of Walt and his stuff on the NJARC website.

This reminded me of the Thorne miniature rooms at the Art Institute of Chicago:
