Radar CRTs
Aha! There you are! I am new to this part of the electronics world but, I find myself NEEDING to contact you guys. I work for a Univ in Portland, Oregon that is remodeling it's Engineering Building. At the end of WWII the Military donated quite a lot of CRTs that had been made surplus. There are about fifteen to twenty NOS tubes ranging in screen size from five inches to over twelve. I will try to get pics and post them on my Picasa site for people to view. I need to know if anyone here is interested and how do I get them to you?

Try to get the part numbers from them and post them here. If any AK members have a use for any of those tubes, we will figure out how to get them transported.

Somebody went through and picked out the larger ones Thursday night. What is left is labeled "5FP7" when labeled at all. Here is a link to some pics.

The larger ones may be candidates for rebuilding as replacements for 9AP4 and 12AP4 prewar tubes. Could you put me in touch with the person who got the larger ones - I'd like to talk to him.

Radar CRT's? Maybe the FAA needs them... :D (the way they talk about their aged equipment at the airports....).
