Interesting transparent space command remote control
 

I had always wondered if a transparent space command remote was ever made. I kind of figured it didnt exist until today. I was over at snade's place this afternoon to bring a TV to him. He gave me this transparent space command 600Z remote control that was from an estate sale he went to. Needless to say, I was pleased to see it. I have no idea what this was about, if it was a marketing item or if zenith acutally made a transparent remote for one of their more contemporary styled sets. The 600Z was the last mechanical remote and was available from 1974-1977. The TV, if there was one, was not at the sale. Perhaps someone here knows more about these.

Now if they only made a transparent 4 tube hybrid............

I've seen a semi-transparent smoked Lexan Sys III console, but never anything in the 70s I bet that remote was a dealer promo item, maybe to show how well it was made compared to other remotes of the time? Nice find!
