If you like monster movies......

Check out this clip! It goes 7 minutes but tell me it don't look exciting as hell! Made in south Korea I guess. Asian monster films are looking better these days.
I have not seen it yet because all the copies are out at my local Blockbuster.
Called "The Host". Has anyone here seen this?

Ive seen it,and I really liked it.But here are a few things you should know:
The story is not a conventional Monster movie plotline. It features a strangely disfunctional family, and some heavy political undertones in which the U.S. does not fare well,IMHO.But you have to give the filmakers credit for going in a new and very interesting direction with a familiar genre.

Very cool. I gotta get that one. I did notice there weren't any jet planes with bic lighters for power. :D

Thanks Jimmy, for the heads up. I'll keep an open mind then when I get a chance to see it. I love a good monster movie! I hope it is in stock this weekend.

Excellent movie, but 2duals is correct, nNot a standard monster movie plot. Bought it on DVD when it first came out based on reviews alone, something I rarely do, and it was worth it.

Oddly, I like Korean movies and love monster movies, but I really didn't care for this.

AU20K 04-21-2008 03:06 PM

WOW! That looks like a cool movie. Will have to locate and get a copy of that.
Thanks for the link.

It looked good, probably really good in the original language.

Holst 04-21-2008 07:13 PM

I looked for it, 14 bucks, I ordered it.

AU20K 04-23-2008 05:08 PM

He Heeeeee!

I got a copy of this dvd off the bay for $0.99 plus $5.00 shipping. OK, for $6.00 used, I didn't steal it, but I don't like to steal things that I don't know about anyway.

Sooo, looking forward to viewing the whole thing.

Cloverfield arrived from Amazon yesterday, but was too beat from jury duty to watch it.

Finally watched it, pretty good, better than many. better than I would have guessed. Watch it in Korean with subtitles!
