Sanford and Son's original shop still there?

Does anybody know if the original building shown in the intro of "Sanford and Son" still exists?

Only the internet would make me read this and go hunting for the info...:D (I haven't seen an episode of S & F in some 10 years now.)

I found that the truck is still around, but as to the outside location....someone else?

C.

I'm just glad it wasn't S & M. :D

That truck is still around? I always liked Redd Foxx.

Sanford & Son was an entertaining sitcom but that may appear dated to you. When I was 15 I didn't watch much tv either so I can relate. And when I was 15 (1978) there were no home video game systems either.

Cheers David.

It isn't dated, but I just don't watch much of anything (Yes, we all know that I am weird, as compared to my generation :D)

"Lamont, you Big Dummy !" "Elizabeth, this Da Big One, Honey !" "Ester, how'd you like 5 across yo' lip ?!?" "Watch it Sucka !" Naw, I NEVER watched it....

I love that show! The theme song is the best TV theme song ever.

Fred Sanford 02-08-2008 08:43 PM

Somebody looking for me?

Pop quiz- who wrote the (my) excellent theme song?

Celt 02-08-2008 08:47 PM

Wasn't it Quincy Jones? (He wrote themes for movies too and is an excellent producer.)

My favorites episodes are the ones that included Ester. Damn those were funny.

Saul Turteltaub & Bernie Orenstein ?
