Panasonic CT101 micro color crt tv, please help
I really, badly NEED any and all plastic cabinet parts for this set. 1.5 inch crt, how did they make the holes in the shadow mask? Does it have a shadow mask? If anybody knows where I can get any of the plastic parts I will pay a finders fee, make a donation to any old tv charity. The darn thing works so well it deserves a new cabinet. OK, I'm done now. Thanks to all,

Richard,
There is one on ebay at the moment. Might be useful to you. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=3638 |
Thanks Dave, however a working model usually goes for over $370.00. In my search I did find some nos parts for this set, crt-$340.00, yoke-$82.00, tuner-$41.00

Built at a time when Japan was conquering the world. A real later model collector's item!

I have one of these little guys, too, bought it new in '84-85, & it DOES have an incredibly nice picture, & an extremely rinky-dink cabinet. I remember it being fairly expensive, I always took care of mine, but with the slightest bit of rough handling it could be "toast". They made a 2.5" version, too, that sorta competed w/Sony's KV-4000 Tiny Trinitron.-Sandy G.

You are right Sandy, The picture is much, much better than the poor still photo I posted. Even after all the abuse this set has been through before I bought it the picture is close to perfect. Makes lcd small screen look weak. And it only draws 3 watts at 12 volts dc. about the same as an lcd tv with a backlight!
So, Does it have a shadow mask, if so the holes must be microscopic.:dunno: BTW BGADOW, On the bottom of the tv it says manfactured january 1984 WOW, that's 20 years ago. I feel old. Richard |
