Liked it a lot. Even more so after I did some checking and discover that the story was not "inspired by actual events" but true to an actual event during the Viet Nam war, the only successful escape of a US pilot from the NVA (who controlled the Pathet Lao).

Great footage of Douglas Skyraiders on a sortie too.

We watched this the other night. It was a nice break from those overblown Hollywood action films. Quite realistic.

The scenery where it was filmed was amazing. A place I would love to visit under different conditions than those faced by the prisoners.

The director- Werner Herzog- was the same guy who did "Grizzly Man", which was also excellent.

Awesome movie....Bales is a great actor!

Painful story, but, a worthy flick. If it weren't for Tricky Dick (my favorite president), I would have likely had many memories to draw upon while watching...
