The Mist

Has anyone seen this yet? I saw it Friday night with a buddy - I thought it was terrific. Of course, I've always been partial to the novella - I first read it while on a trip some 21 1/2 years ago.

I will definitely be buying the HD-DVD release when it's available.

I found it the opposite. It was boring to me. Only part I liked was the character interaction while they were in the store.
Director really screwed up the ending compared to the novella.
Dialog seemed dated too.

King did a good job of Lovecraftian style in the novella. I'll be interested to see if the movie holds up. I may have to go re-read the novella as it's been sometime now.

Most revues are "glowing" calling it the best horror movie in years.I found it more creepy than horrific.

That is exactlly the way it should be. Maybe they got it right.

It wasn't a horror movie at all to me.
It had some creepy moments (too few of them).
