I Done a Stoopit Thing, George...

I bought a 1981 Hitachi CK200 5" color set last night on Fleabay. Unfortunately, my buddy Walter, who uses my computer to run his coin/silver business from, hadn't signed off, & I bidded & won under HIS name & ID, & didn't catch it until I'd already bidded. It is item #110193300181. I emailed the seller, Sharline 2, & explained the goof-up, & sent her a postal money order this morning. Haven't heard a word from her, I don't know if she's gotten the messages I sent or not. Worst thing I guess that can happen is that she'll give Walter a negative-but I can't see her doing that. If she sends the TV to Walter's place, he'll get it & bring it to me. But I still feel like an idjit...

Aww, hell, THAT came on a LOOOOOOOONG time ago, Alaska...(grin)

Likewise here. :D But I hope ya get it. As long as she gets her money and since it doesn't depend if she ships it to your buddy or you, then it all should work out.

Easy fix - have Walter (under his eBay ID) email the seller and explain things too. As you've paid by money order, there's no Paypal/confirmed address issues.

In my ePay side business, I see this often - some dude (not an idiot - you're too tough on yourself) will bid on my stuff without checking the ID that's logged in, and suddenly "Puff-luvs-kats" (his girlfriend) wins a piece of gear. They explain, I ship, and all is well with this side of the universe. :thmbsp:

BTW - only tonight, I sniped myself! I mistakenly bid earlier using my seller ID, and then eSnipe sniped for me under my bidding ID....talk about an idjit thing to do....:sigh:

I went to an estate auction last year and there was an excited lady there that was getting caught up in the bidding, after a minute or two the auctioneer stopped and looked at her and said, "Maam, you're bidding against yourself".....:scratch2:
