Another I-D that movie thread.
 

Saw this horror movie when I was a kid and I remember really getting into it. Occasionaly I still think about and for the life of me I cant remember the title. If I were to guess I would say it was made in the late 70's but I could be way off. It seems like the movie takes place several decades earlier.

Concerning the plot all I can remember is there is some creepy old time carnival/circus coming to town, possibly by train or wagons. Something about it only comes around 300 years seems familiar. It is led by an evil, demonic ring master. Only a boy knows the truth and is trying to convince to town to no avail.

Sound familiar?

Man, you guys are great. I would have never guessed the title, but thats it. Did a search on youtube and sure enough there are a couple of clips. Thanks alot, I'm going to have to rent this as I never did see the ending.

I have always been a fan of Jason Robards. And Pam Grier is in it also. It was a neat movie. 83 was the year of release. As usual the book is supposed to be much better.
