This is a very old television, still called the boob tube. the entire tv is in exellect condition, but will NOT turn on. This would be an great addition to any antique collection. This piece has been appraised at 500$, if it was working. Buyer must pick up.

Appraised by Owner...

...you can order your own Appraisal Kit on the shopping network.

It is, however, VERY old....so....

Console TV from the late 70's or early 80's...

It's barely worth $5.00 let alone $500.00

I half expect though that some idiot will buy it.

Looks almost exactly like my 1982 Zenith (still in use)

The ebay TV and Nowhereman's '82 Zenith appear to have the same tuner knob... the screen and the silvery trim around the screen appear to be the same as well.

Come to think of it, it reminds me of my father's 1979 Zenith System 3 since it was the same as my 1982. I'll have to save the pic and show him. He doesn't have it anymore, I was kind of upset when he got rid of it, I was hoping to be able to score the parts. Ours has been a daily watcher since we got it in early 1983.

HA!, HA!, HEE!, HEE!, $500 HA!, HA!, HA! If that's the case, I've scrapped about $100,000 worth of TV's over the years. I do remember a time when that set would fetch $100 working (years ago). Now, I'd be hard pressed to get anything for such a set in good working condition. I'd probably have to pay someone to take it. I'm not at all saying that's an inferior TV; but, most of the buying public will not even consider a TV that old anymore. They'd rather go to wal-mart and spend $129.99 on a Durabrand.

About 2 years ago; I offered a guy $100 for an Atwater Kent model 60 console. He turned me down because he said he'd already turned down $3K for it. I told him that I hoped he knew where to find the guy because he needed to let it go if he offered him that much $$. I really don't think he was offered $3K. That's just another stunt sellers use to try and get more money for something.

Maybe the owner misunderstood and $500 was the cost to haul it away.

As my late Father used to say "That's where 2 fools met", one for offering and one for not taking...

zenith

Those Zenith consoles were nice in their day ,however those 80s consoles are not worth 10 dollars now . Back in the 90s , i use to get around a hundred bucks for them , but now you cant even give them away . Funney story , but there was a guy in PA , Logan TV and he was trying to off a couple of those 80s sets on me. He could even pay me to take them . HE had to throw them in a dumpster. I see those consoles at the curb all the time .

The only time that thing was worth $500 was when the grinning salesman wrote it up 25 yrs ago...An' it wasn't worth it then, either.

I hope he does, too. The doctors need to get their hands on him quickly, before he does something dangerous, like vote, or drive a car...
