Scott 6T11 projection
Anyone have any info on the crt protective circuit for the later Scott projection 6T11? I think this is a 2-tube aux chassis which is connected to the main chassis via a 6-pin connector. I have this set, without the extra circuit. The Sams folder does not include this, so it must have been added late in production. Any info on this chassis/circuit would be appreciated. This is a nice set I would like to get working.
Also, does anyone know the difference between the Scott #400 and the 6T11? Thanks.............. |
I wish i could help ya. I 've been wanting a 6t11 to go with my 800b console for 16 years. everyone i saw on Fee-bay was out of my league in price. Since you have the Sams manual, you could temp rewire it to the old style , just so you could watch it, while your waiting for another parts model to show up.
P.S. i just had a thought, does the 6T11 have a internal audio amplifier and speaker, in theory you wouldn't need one if you hooked it up to your 800b or Philharmonic. could that 6 pin socket be for hooking up a optional amplifier that would be used if this TV was used as a stand alone set. I don't know, i've never seen the inside of that set. just a wild hunch. Logan |
The 6T11 has an internal audio amp & speaker. Connections to the 6 prong female connector are from vert & horz taps, 6v fil., brightness control, and hv. I think the circuit is similar to the Duo-Vue circuit but am not sure. I actually have an extra 6T11 chassis w/o this circuit, which agrees with Sams.
Many thanks for input........................ |
