Anyone see David' Lynch's "Island Empire"?

Just saw it.

A longtime David Lynch fan (Twin Peaks, Lost Highway, Wild at Heart, Mulholland Drive, On The Air, elephant Man, and yes, even Eraserhead & Dune), I'm gonna hold my tongue a bit on this one.

I'm interested in your reactions.

Not to derail your thread, but IMO Sci-Fi's Dune actually did Herbert justice whereas Lynch did not.

(Sting however was the better Feyd.)

Just giving this a bump.

This is truly a weird film- I was prepared to go either way on it- but after seeing it, I have to endorse it.

If you want a movie that makes an attempt at perceivable sense, flows well, is easy (or even possible to remotely follow), this is not your film.

Lynch wrote and filmed several separate, unrelated scenes without the intention of making a feature length film. He later realized how they could be connected and continued filming sequences to fill in the gaps, borrowing scenes from his website experiments, and other projects.

I love David Lynch.It always feels like his work is what your mind conjures up before you filter it for other people to hear.I liked most of his films,but to me,Twin Peaks feels like a more complete vision of what he started with Blue Velvet.
BTW,the film is called Inland Empire,which is an area of California.

The Twin Peaks Box Set comes out later this October.

It's series 1, series 2, and the tv pilot.

Might include the movie too- I'm not sure.

Eraserhead is an acid trip without having to be on acid.

Twin Peaks is some of the best TV ever. My friend is a cousin of Joan Chen's but unfortunately I've never met her.

I'll have to check out Inland Empire. I love David Lynch stuff but my wife just doesn't get it. :no:
