Fear & loathing in Las Vegas.
 

I stayed up late last night & watched Fear & loathing in Las Vegas,this was one of the funniest movies ive seen in a long time,Johnny Depp plays a seriously drugged out guy & does a hell of a job.

Read the book - it's even better. Less ha-ha funny and more bizzare.

BTW, it's Hunter S. Thompson, so the book is probably more truth than fiction.....

My favorite part was watchin them walk into the casino,after they snorted a bunch of ether,man was that funny stuff.

That movie is great.

On a similar note - try to find "Where the Buffalo Roam" - that one has Bill Murray as Hunter S Thompson and Peter Boyle as Lazlo, his crazed lawyer ...
quite the riot on its own (if you know Thompson's work)

The book was awesome, the movie for me did the book justice. "With the right kind of eye's..." Probably my favorite quote.

If you can get the Criterion version, it has really awesome extras.

If I remember right the cinematographer had only one eye, and they went out of their way to make sure the movie was shot always off at an angle.

Like how he always read from the book at some of the most crazy parts. The ether moment, the first time I saw that, I got stomach pains from laughing.

Great book. Damn funny movie. HST has some keen things to say about the death of the 60s.
