Mitsubishi cmcorder with color wheel viewfinder?
Anyone hear of a Mitsubishi camcorder made in the late 80s or early 90s which used a small b&W CRT and a color wheel for the viewfinder? I Googled around, but could find no leads. Rumor has it they did make one. A model number would be helpful.
Thanks! |
I worked on many CamCorders, and never have seen any Mitsubishi. At least not a consumer model... I worked for a factory authorized MGA shop, and we had all the literature. I'd sure be curious to know if there was one. There were some very obscure Sony TVs that I never worked on either, but they existed.

Hey thanks Charles. I was sort of hoping you might be the guy to know. Here is the kink a buddy of mine ran across which makes this claim:

I wonder if that was a British item that didn't make it to N.A.? I notice "COLOUR".
Sounds like a neat item, and I'm going to ask the owner of the MGA-authorized shop if he remembers anything about a CamCorder. Meantime, maybe one or our European board members might weigh in on this? The fact that it's alleged to be a Mitsubishi product makes it believable since they came up with DLP, which is also field sequential color wheel technology. Charles |

Can't find any references at IEEE except to LCD color viewfinders.
