Groovy.

Appears to be the Haunted Roundie from Hell's twin sister.

Maybe it has audio.

Probably matched the drapes nicely......

David Roper 07-26-2007 05:38 PM

Whoa. My guess is semi-retirement to a bedroom or basement den is when and where it became a matching decoration.

At least it's not a "fish tank".

The ORIGINAL "flower power"

Our little town has a big fabric store. I've wandered through there a few times looking for grillecloth. Surely something would work. No, all those hundreds of styles and nothing looks right. So I guess most folks just give up and go with what feels right...well, to them maybe!

bgadow,

I had the same experiences as you when looking for grill cloth in your basic sewing outlet. However I found a place here in Milwaukee that sells material used in making draperys. They have over a thousand bolts of cloth and lots of them are well suited as grill cloth. In fact the grill cloth on my avitar came from that store.

See if you can find a store that specializes in drapery materials next time.

Apparently, they wanted a "color" TV...

kbmuri 08-01-2007 10:40 AM

Hmm... You laugh at it, then apparently the gaudy colors made somebody want it pretty badly. I just wanted a second-opinion set for fixing my other one. I don't think it was worth 30 bucks otherwise, assuming the untested CRT is worn out. But I got outbid at $111.

Go figure.
