Good afternoon everyone. Just thought I'd share a couple pics of my recently acquired RCA 2000 in its new home. On top of it, you see my Marantz 2226 receiver, an RCA SJT-400 CED player, a cheapie RCA VCR, a JVC DVD player, and a Motorola HD-DVR Digital Cable box. Kind of a fun mix of older and new technology.

Looks familiar...

But I have a question::

WHY do ALL of the 2000's seem to have the corners nicked up like that (mine does too.) It seems that all of them I have seen do.

I guess they are just vulenerable to damage, I suppose??

It could be possible that the glue used to glue the veneer on isn't that great or wasn't applied evenly. Around the corners where the veneer has chipped off on mine it seems as if it isn't fastened very well and wouldn't take much to pry more of it off.
