Has anybody seen A 3 CRT TV before?
 

The big screen is 19" the two smaller ones are 5"

Not one like that but I recall Sony marketing a 3-screen TV in the 70s. It even had a remote control, IIRC. What they did, though, was combine 3 of their 12" B&W TVs into a larger walnut case so there was very little 'integration' going on. They may have also attempted marketing a Trinitron version, too, but I never saw one.

They were all the rage for the well-heeled sports nut of the day, mostly doctors and lawyers in my old college town.

Interesting little hooberbloob. I have a Sampo "All in One"- 5" color TV, AM/FM, & Cassette. It mostly works, but is from '81 as well, & was obviously never intended to last this long...That, & somebody along the line was less-than-kind to it...

I have the Sony model with 3 B/W sets-wasn't born w/remote.

The Sampo TriScreen... I've had a couple of them, and I know that they were once sold by the Spiegel Catalog around 1980. Not sure where else. Not a bad set at all, and it had an EARLY infrared remote!

Hi Charles, I agree, Plasma should be designed and used for pushing deep space sattelites or desktop space wasters. Not television sets.

How big is this set? Its hard to get a sense of its diminsions from the picture provided in the auction.

This was back before cable TV was common. So 3 networks (ABC, CBS, NBC) so 3 displays.

I well remember from the early 80s there was a set frequently given away on The Price Is Right. It was a console with a 25" color screen plus 2 small bw screens. I am almost positive it was an Hitachi.

Just added this cool set to my collection!!! Well, back in the early 50's Westinghouse produced a rare experimental 4 tube color set...the Wesetinghour 8440CKQ using match quad of RCA 15GP22 CRTs. Designed for early sports enthusiants....no just kidding, playing around with Adobe Photoshop...but it would sure be neat PIP. :D

Yep, right up their with Zenith sign. Let's see, could be an easy 2KW of power to drive four 15GP22 chassis. Think we should add a fan to cool the Westinghouse cabinet? :D

I remember seeing one of those sets in an electronic magazine when I ws in sixth grade which dates it to 1979.

Hello! What about this late '70s german (Nordmende) 4 screens tv? The entire thing was resting on an elegant pedestal and was available in several colors. It was equipped with remote control,infrared earphone, 26" inline color picture tube and three more b/w 5" picture tubes. Each of the three b/w screens could individually tune on every channel and store 4. The sound of the tiny screens could be listened through the earphone and everything was managed through the remote control.
