Hello everyone,
I just created my first website showcasing cool vintage stuff. http://www.vintagejukes.com

Check it out, Not much on it yet but I'm adding more all the time. There is an antique TV page with a few photos and an object movie of the CTC-5. With the object movie you can click and drag on the image to spin the TV 360 degrees. I also have some photos of the CTC-5 restoration.

Congratulations. Very nice site. I share your fondness for the CTC-5 color sets as reflected on my site. The restoration of your "Lockhaven" model is no less then spectacular. The CTC-5 chassis' both Super and Deluxe are capable of producing a dynamite color picture, as you have proved.

Great pictures of jukes! We have worked on an 1100 and 2300 series Wurlitzer like you have pictured, there are still a lot of old jukeboxes in service in our area.

Nice website.Your making me want a CTC5 now.Neat to see how you showed the improvement in the picture as you went along changing tubes and capacitors Love the jukebox pictures also.I have the 1952 Seeburg C(3rd down from the top on the Seeburg page)Also have a 1954 Seeburg R(not pictured) and a 1957 Wurlitzer 2150(not pictured)I won't even plug in a jukebox amp until all the paper caps are replaced.It was too late for the amp in my Wurlitzer.Had to get a parts amp for the output tranny.The former owner played it into the 80s w/ the original caps until he heard a pop,lost sound and shut it off.The pop was a 6L6 output tube busting and the tranny was toast.

Congratulations! It is a nice-looking website with a lot of interesting and amazing features. And it is a nice contribution to keep this historic stuff in the consciousness. I will bookmark it and hope that you will find time to add other goodies. I have set a link on my ctc-5 pages.

Been busy adding more to the site. Chad, I just added a movie file of my 1100 under the "featured jukes" section. Always looking for photos to add to the pages if anyone wants to contribute. I hope to add more TV object movies soon. Stay tuned....

Ahhh, make the movies BIGGER though. Tiny video's so 1992, unless you have a Windows box ;) ;) ;)

A+ job on the site so far. You have some great stuff on there and i really like the photos documenting restorations with screen shots like JC said.

.WMV movie file of the CTC5 playing "Duck Dodgers" has been added. Please note this movie was made before final convergence alignment. Also new videos of the B/W Zenith "Porthole" sets.

Your videos are excellent, could you tell us how you made them?

I'm glad the site is getting positive reaction from fellow collectors. I'm new to the web creation thing and am learning as I go along. Started the website last week with a friend who has similar collecting interests, Jukes, Radios, TV's etc..
Still need to figure out how to get a music file to play when the page opens, any thoughts?
As for the video creation Eric here's what I do. I videotape with my Sonyhandycam digital camcorder then import into the PC (via firewire) using Windows Movie Maker. I import with the "Large High Quality Video'" setting which is 640X480 and 30fps. I edit as needed with the software and output with the same settings. The .wmv gives good video with small file sizes, 2mb for about a minute of video. Some of the Jukebox animations where recorded with a sony coolpix digital camera using the video mode.

For someone who says he's new to making websites, you've put together a pretty awesome effort!

[rant] Since you asked, please DON'T have music play automatically when the site comes up. It's one of my pet peeves. And just because it's a peeve of mine doesn't mean it's not a bad idea too :). Lots of reasons, chief among them: people surfing at work, levels coming in w-a-y higher than the last thing I listened to, surprising the daylights out of me (or the whole family if it's late at night!), and it's a waste of bandwidth which you could be using to have your site load faster (and that's always a good thing!) In the case of showcasing jukeboxes, which make music, it would be certainly be appropriate to have music available for playing either with the video clips, or with the page itself, but please, please give the viewer the choice! [/rant]

Just my 2-cents, if strong ones!

I agree with you about the volume, Many times I've reached for the volume control while surfing. I would only include it if I could add a music on/off switch to the page somehow. I'd like to make an animated .gif or something of a jukebox that is off and can be switched on and play a music file right on the page.
