Heres the service manual /users manual if you need one. http://www.manualslib.com/products/C...2-3142135.html Thats great that you got the CED players and the movie disks .Please list or take a pix of the movies when you get a chance. That Denon is an oddball.Audiokarma will be the best place for some info on that. I found this vid on one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ov1ZCo6oLSY |

|
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ALL ANALOG BEAUTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my................ I dont really NEED anything pac but I would love some stuff!! The Goonies (1985) -- I dont know if you have that right now Thats the one I have been quite desperate for FOR AWHILE now..... (The official VHS and BETA tapes are "digitally processed") |

1702's are awesome. First s-video monitors I ever touched.
C128's though...they are a nice upgrade from the c64 but almost no software really supported the upgraded hardware fully. Most stuff still ran in c64 mode. Nice CED players though. You guys seem to be going crazy over them. |
I guess POLTERGEIST (1982) also Pac If ya have it... (I have IT but no player)
I just ordered what I think is a MONO copy of it on VHS and if its STRAIGHT ANALOGUE (Not digitally produced stereo) it will be grand.... (It doesnt say STEREO on the box cover so I am hopefull) |

Two vcrs I went through yesterday:
AKAI VS-1092U (has TA7245BP on top of it) is that a part number? Tested, powers on normal, loads and unloads normal but grinding and noise from underneath while loaded. Emerson VCR765 (works) |
Is there an actual interest in RCA CED discs? I've kept all of mine, some still sealed. But really, isn't all the content available on more modern media now? Just curious. Im not going to dispose of them, I have 2 players.

Don't throw your gear out. There is a group of CED player collectors just like there is a group of tube era TV collectors, just like there is a group of vinyl collectors. I presently have 5 CED players and a ton of discs. I plan to fix and sell a duplicate player and a portion of my discs in a few months (most of my discs were bought in lots so a percentage of the movies are stuff I don't like). If you want your gear to just go away and are near by I'd be happy to take it off your hands. |

I hope you dont ever get rid of those!! |
I'm trying to hook you up but out of the five I have, they're all different models. Next time I come across any more though, I'll have a better chance of finding something I already have. I won't have a need for duplicate machines.
|
I definetly hear ya pac!!
What one do you like the best so far? |
