Has anyone seen the new Star Wars movie? The.........Disney.........Star Wars.:tears:

its pretty good, much better then the 3 prequels that Lucas directed himself, a lot more like the original first 3 films. a lot of plot points, creatures, and droids are "recycled" from those films. A lot of it seems very familiar.. but then that's what a lot of Star wars fans want to see. And of course it sets things up for the next couple movies...

That's actually good to know. I know many people who said the original three were the only good ones. I actually liked episode one. Still wasn't the same tho. And I certainly didn't think Disney would do any better. Still, I'll have to check it out when it hits blu ray.

And I still say that... Have no interest in seeing this.....

That's why I'm not rushing to the theater to see it. I did that with episode 1 and since then, I haven't bothered. I'll pick it up cheap somewhere and see it just to see how it turned out. Can't be any worse than what happened to the Home Alone movies. First two were awesome. Last two have nothing to do with it and are pure junk.

I love Sci-Fi, but find star wars very boring. Wife loves them, we have them on tape,
and usually you have to let your mind run wild to follow some sci-fi's S-W just -


Lucas needs to join Walt having his head frozen for a few hundred years.....

As for not liking Star Wars, I've never heard of anyone e that didn't. Probably enough fans out there to start a whole new country. As for the homemade youtube junk, not worth watching.

Don't wait for the DVD, read the book. It is far better than the movie!

Some of the things in film The Martian go against the laws of physics and disrupt the enjoyment of the movie.

The book seems both possible and plausible and builds suspense better!

Ugh, I don't even know how many of these films exist. I just tune out anything too popular.

I had to wait to go see it until people stopped wearing costumes for it, and there weren't waiting lines that wrapped around the corner.

I saw it and its the first movie I ever got up and walled out of before it was over....... the original is out on Dvd with none of the added stuff and no episode four in the credits.

No way I'm going to pay money to see any movie nowadays. Especially by Disney. Why couldn't they stick with mickey mouse. That was fine but they have no idea what they are getting into. I can't see how anything remotely decent has been made in the last 20 years. I went to see episode 1 and was like "I could have waited for the home release". I don't bother with theaters.

The orginal format of the new star wars IS DIGITAL so even if it WAS put on VHS,you would just be seeing digital video..

Many VHS are digital. The remastered junk and the ones released in digital. Most of the newer ones. The ones (you don't like).:D

That was inaccurate, it was shot on film. As to how it will be projected or put on Home Video then yes, it will most likely be Digital unless there is a special showing somewhere with a 35mm projector. Not all that impossible since Tarantino's latest movie was also shot on 70m film and shown in that format in about 100 specially equipped theaters.

I'm sure it contains a lot of Digital effects but J.J. Abrams tried to do as much as possible using the same in camera methods as the original films.

Just in case the smiley faces and subsequent actual literal statements aren't quite enough, my post #15 was a joke, referring back to a post in some other thread about a month or more ago.

Thank you Eric.... IT IS STILL DIGITAL FORMAT THOUGH.... (Even though they used film)

Kodak Film was, is and always will be an analog format, whatever they do to it after it leaves the camera is a different matter but we were talking about the source here, not the final product.

Are there parts shot on digital cameras? no doubt, some things just can't be done as well in the physical world, at least not within the budget.
