Your favorite commercials
This T-Mobile "Super Delicious" commercial cracks me up every time I see it.

I have two:
One is the Heidi Klum VW ad (okay, I'm a sucker for cars and supermodels and humor): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtHaWApyC5I The other, well, it's from the UK. "Trimming the hedges" takes on new meaning here ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvFSgXpyhoM |
That six flags commercial where the old guy jumps out of the bus and starts dancing.
|
The commercials that I fast-forward through on the DVR... :tresbon: :D
|
The commercial................
Where the women are screaming giddily like little girls over a closet full of shoes.....while downstairs.....their men are screaming giddily like little girls over a walk-in closet/fridge full of beer. Steve |
A very funny one from the early 80's that could Still play Today!
(Detroit Zoo with the animals talking) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQr548olzOo |
I like the Running of the Squirrels Superbowl ad from several years ago:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Z2_k...om=PL&index=38 And there's a cool Brazilian spot for Brahma beer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PohrDE32Nhs |
the levi's commercial with the guy being carried to the emergency room; the equipment noise inspires him to start singing 'Tainted Love'. floored me, as it started so dead serious. don't have a link but on youtube.

My favorite in recent years is a Target commercial from a couple of years ago. This just kills me:

Probably my fave commercial ever was one for the RCA XL100 tv that I saw only once in the late 60s or early 70's. The opening shows a wood panelled room in the centre of which there is a console Xl100 tv. The colour of the walls in the room had a funny greenish tint to them but when the presenter turns on the RCA set you see a picture in picture of him and the room, only the colours are perfect and the wood looks like wood. He does his pitch on the tv set extolling the virtues of the RCA XL100 and ends it with..."now don't you wish the colour on your set was as good as what you're seeing here on the RCA XL100?"
I have searched youtube many times but have never found it and as I said I only saw it once before they presumably pulled it out of shame:lmao: J.R. |

While these aren't my favorite commercials, they're my favorite commercials that I've made....I'm in advertising. It's cool to see your own dumb ideas on TV:

I like the one for the Zenith Micro Touch 2G tonearm, where the guy knocks the arm across the record, then starts it from the beginning again "see, the music is unharmed!"

Stumbled on this Viral Video...
Schick is my new favorite commercial.. http://www.viralvideochart.com/youtu...id=jBkR09sP4T4 |
My favorite commercials are the ones I never have to look at.
Historically, Tony Schwartz's 1964 anti-Goldwater "Daisy" election spot for LBJ ranks as one of the most significant ads run (as opposed to the regular product garbage.) Amongst the latter, the one I thought was interesting is the Apple "1984" ad from the Superbowl. Directed by Ridley Scott, that was more of an artistic statement than anything I have had to look at since in that genre, and it is not surprising that it is remembered today. C. |
The "Slap Chopper" with the "ShamWow" Dude, Vince.
|
This is without a doubt the FUNNIEST commercial I've ever seen. It even looks gruesome but those pigs are hilarious!! : Boost Pig Commercial
I mean all they are doing is just enjoying the flavors of a fallen friend! |

The Ridley Scott/Vangelis Chanel #5 commercials of the late '70s-early '80s...They set THE standard for class, beauty, & artistry IMHO that all the Billy Mays, Flos, & Vinces of the "Screamng School" can never hope to achieve.

You guys over 30 may remember Aydes diet pills that were advertised on TV in the early to mid 80's..........what a poorly timed and named product, but its commercial is pretty funny in a sick way.
THIS WAS A REAL PRODUCT AND ITS ACTUAL TV COMMERCIAL http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...64058166993925 |
I like commercials which cater to the visual senses, since I don't think I've voluntarily listened to a commercial since mute-buttons were invented (which is my entire life!)
|
The EDS "Herding Cats" commercial.
The Ridley Scott "1984" commercial for Macintosh. The commercial for "Cornsilk" men's hand lotion from the 1970s. Great music. |

Charles Bronson in a commercial for the Japanese cologne "Mandom".
My favorite commercial of all time....the song, the cheezyness, the amount of cologne he douses himself with, the pipe rack..the fact that he throws his shirt up in the air when he comes home to an empty hotel room, and it never comes down (?huh?)...unintentionally fantastic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8bqVL0VXrE |
