The Spanish channel has Predator on it right now and they have a voice-over for Arnold Schwarzenegger that sounds like Ricardo Montalban from the old television series, "Fantasy Island" ..... I keep waiting for the little guy to come along and start saying, "Da Plane ... Da Plane" ....... :banana:

Ah, The Predator one of the ultimate guy flicks ever made and I'm sure that it can transcend language barriers regardless of the voice over.

.....Dave, Ricardo Montalban sold because you heard him very little of the time on Fantasy Island, IMO....I didn't care for him on other stuff he was on after Fantasy Island....and, on movies with voice-over dubs, since you brought it up, I have laughed the most at Japanese movies that have voice-over dub using English....I'm sure you're thrilled I told you that.....

Back in the late 80's I had a hotrodded Advent 750 projection TV w/ 7.5' screen. Predator was my favorite demo video as there was so much green footage it really lit up the WWII radar phosphor they used to get true green.

Definitely one of the best sci-fi/action flicks. I can watch it over and over and never get tired of it.

I used to work with a guy who was on the special effects team for Predator.
They hooked an air hose to one of the dreadlocks so the actor inside would not fry his brain from no air circulation. He has one of the original head molds in his garage that I had asked him to make me a finished painted version from for some $$$. Never got it, lost touch not sure where he is now.:sigh:

Just a little trivia that you may or may not know:The first and original Predator was played by______??After completion the movie was "shelved" Unhappy with the Predators looks??McTiernan then got Kevin Hall (bigfoot in Harry And The Hendersons)and had the makeup redone..My only question is why did they bother with Predator 2 ????
