Ironman is coming. May 2008. Finally my favorite Marvel comic book and tv cartoon hero of all time is coming to the big screen. Here's a pic of the actual suit.

Cool! He was one of my favorites when growing up too.

I think he has been my favorite out of all in the Marvel Universe. Good ol' Shellhead! :D

Loved Ironman - there is still an Ironman sticker on the door to my childhood bedroom... or at least most of an Ironman sticker...

It's about damn time!!! Man have I been waitin for this. I used to read Iron man as a kid and have always wanted to see this on the big screen.

Ironman is everyone's favorite it seems. I don't read comic books, but I guess his character out of the suit is pretty badass, right? Some sort of politician?

Also, I did'nt know that they released a direct to DVD full length animated movie this year. Going to have to hit Blockbuster today I guess. Supposed to have thunderstorms here all day anyhow.

They've got the big guns of the business in on making the movie. ILM, Stan Winston, Skywalker Sound. So it ought to be a top notch flick. From what I've read that it's going to be a trilogy. But we'll see. This has been in the works for years and they've just now wrapped up filming in June so we'll see what happens I guess.

I remember when Tony stark started hittin' the bottle heavy, and another fella was wearing the Iron Man costume while Stark dealt weith depression and alcohol abuse.

I remember one illustration pane with Stark sitting in an alley, drunk, and it's raining.

That was some heady reading for a kid, back in the 80's.

Iron Man was the bad guy IMHO in the Civil War series which just ended this summer. I lost any respect I had for him from the good old days.

I looked it up, and indeed it's Robert downey Jr as Iron Man.

The film also features Hillary Swank, Jeff Bridges, Gweneth Paltrow and Samuel Jackson.

John Favreau, star and director of Swingers, and director and bit part acting in Elf, will also direct Iron Man.
