That's one of my must have sets, but it's too far away. I've always preferred table top sets to consoles and that's the classic tube color table set.

Thanks for Posting this Polaraman!
This one is a must have for Doug, and it will give him an excuse to come to Michigan to pick up a couple other sets I have for him as well.

The seller ended the listing early. Did someone here get it?

I'd be interested if there was a cheap way to get it to SF, CA.

The seller donated it to Doug for his museum. It will make a nice working display with the factory stand and 70's era vcr.

I hope Doug gets many more! I hope to see the place. Do we have the address?

I think that VCR is a genuine VBT-200 RCA, the first model of VHS VCR they (RCA) sold. It was a specially-built Matsushita PV-1100 clone, to RCA's specs. It had SP and LP speeds, to give it a leg up on the only other VHS VCR at the time -- the JVC HR-3300, SP 2-hr mode only. I have one built in August 1977 an another built November of 1977. At thet time, Betamax X2 mode was still a year or two away, so they were stuck with X1 mode. VHS had the longer time, even in SP mode.
