I thought I'd consult here before actually planning to bid... This Hoffman blond table model with doors is identical to my first collectable TV that I got in the late 70s. This one is in Idaho, and the seller prefers local pickup but will consider shipping. I emailed them to inquire about the shipping, so I'll see what they say.

But the point of my posting here is that I want to "save it", but I don't want to get in a bidding war especially with an AK friend! So if anyone else is closer to ID or has the intent to bid, please post here and I won't bid over the opening price.

SECONDLY, if anyone out here on the West Coast has one like this possibly for sale, PM me :thmbsp:

I have one similar this, but missing the doors. I have not restored it yet.

It is true that more Hoffmans are on the west cost than elsewhere, but they are also seen in the central portion of the country. Hoffman had a factory in St. Louis Mo. at one time. I am in Texas and have several Hoffman "Easy Vision" TVs from here, not the west coast.

I saw a tabletop Hoffman with doors in an antique mall on Pacific Coast Hwy in Long Beach just about a year ago (Antique mall next to Bedspread King). Probably gone by now? It was too big to bring back on the airplane. I used to live in Long Beach so I'm out that way every couple of years and check out the antique malls when I'm there. Usually TVs in antique malls are expensive.

I did a google search. This may be the place. Long Beach Antique & Collectible Mall (562) 494-2526; 3100 E Pacific Coast Hwy, Long Beach, CA 90804. I didn't find an email address. The TV was in back room in a booth.
They probably don't know a Hoffman from a RCA.
