I won't even bother to comment.

Geoff Bourquin 08-14-2006, 01:34 AM Anyone else notice the pin correction is gone?
Collectable?
Round screen?!?
Must be one of those quantum mechanics definitions of round that doesn't make sense in the real world
cabinover 08-14-2006, 04:59 AM Don't knock the guy fer Chrissakes! (I have one of these and if they're worth money you'll see mine up next week :lmao:)
I was just too stupid to realize I have a roundie in the bedroom until I looked at it sideways.
Sandy G 08-14-2006, 06:13 AM Oh, Prunella !!
jstout66 08-14-2006, 09:16 AM what the hell? How can people be SO STUPID? It is taking every last ounce of willpower NOT to send him an email....
Chad Hauris 08-14-2006, 12:15 PM I was going to say that maybe he thought it was "round" because the CRT had rounded corners...actually it does not! The crt bezel does though...(very slightly)!
Carmine 08-14-2006, 12:56 PM The black plastic on the sides is kinda round. :D Since he's starting at $1.00, he might just be going for the "laugh" factor as I have in previous eBay ads:
Vintage Zenith TV set
WITH REMOTE CONTROL!
Hey, notice something different about this ad? I'm not just telling you this TV works, I'm showing a picture of it turned on! What a concept!
Of course this set is unrestored, so it could either keep working another 50 years, or burn your house down as soon as you turn it on... No promises!
All remote functions work. Good picture & sound (but should be recapped of course). Photo finish is starting to flake a bit, and there is a small wood chunk missing from the upper left corner. Both should be easy fixes. I'm only selling this one because I found a blonde version, so the brunette gets the heave-ho, just like a woman.
I think he means round as in not flat.
Keefla 08-14-2006, 11:30 PM i got the same TV in my bedroom, my buddy picked it up at the dump 6 months ago for me for free, even came with the ORIGINAL remote, not some universal one, and the picture looks a LOT better. Ill let it go for 450 bux, ya know its collectable now ;-)
Bill Cahill 08-15-2006, 05:02 AM Wow! What a neat old, antique round screen tv! Wish I had it... NOT!!!!!
:nono:
Bobby Brady 08-15-2006, 11:21 AM I think he means round as in not flat.
It is funny how so many people in America use predefined words with thier own private definitions. I guess they start as kids trying to be "smart" and it must become second nature.
kx250rider 08-15-2006, 12:15 PM Maybe that seller is 17 years old, and hasn't ever seen a ROUND tube... But what really glares in my face, as Chad points out, that this TV has the 26" square-corner tube; not even a standard rectangular with rounded corners!

rickon66 08-15-2006, 12:16 PM I had not realized that I have owned so many round screen collectors items in the past 20 years. What a dip.
Geoff Bourquin 08-15-2006, 03:57 PM I am constantly asked if I work on the "new flat screen tv's" . They're talking about flat CRT sets, but it seems a lot of people dont know the diffference beetween those and LCD/PLASMA/DLP. Perhapps these things are so much clearer to us because we play with the stufff every day.
Geoff Bourquin 08-15-2006, 03:59 PM Why do I sttudder when I type? I dont studder when I talk!
Another one, on the LA craigslist ""1970's Sylvania B&W 10' TV. Collecters Item - $350"" http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/clt/196142673.html
Tom_Ryan 08-22-2006, 05:50 AM It could very well be worth $350.00 to them and who knows some Hollywood director may need just that model for a movie prop and be willing to shell out. Of course, to you and I $20.00 is probably the limit ...and even that's being generous!
dtuomi 08-24-2006, 04:57 AM That was a neat little B&W, not worth the $350.
I must admit that I do own one of these RCA TV's that the ebay auctioneer is selling. It works good.
If that one goes for a lot, maybe I should sell my RCA on ebay and then use the money to buy the little $350 12" B&W TV.

At least they aren't throwing it out.
willyrover 12-23-2006, 07:01 PM A roundie with Closed Captioning none-the-less.
