Since it has UHF I'd say it was made sometime after April 30, 1964. The design looks like early 1970s. Not sure if it's SS or not. :dunno:

Yes; that's a 1971-2. Chassis 25CC50 if it's solid state, or 12A12C52 if hybrid. Both sets used identical front bezels and controls, so only way to tell is if it says SOLID STATE, or ofcourse by the model #.

I vote for hybrid. I can just see the high voltage cage on the ebay picture of the back.
Those were great set about 50% tubes. I remember when people would even spend the $'s to have the CRT changed. That set still has an older tube in it because it has the green halo from the safety glass glue. I remember we even would put the Cromacolor II tubes in those sets when Zenith had some sales on rebuilts in the late 70's.

This looks like a very nice set. It is a hybrid. Its a 1971 model only, model B6744W the "Bannock" and used the 12B14C50 chassis. Ive never seen nor worked on this chassis. Seems like the early 70's consoles are the hardest to find (for me atleast). From what I can tell, most people bought color TV in 65-68 and those sets were still in good working shape in the early 70's. That being said, I would assume color TV sales in the early 70's were not as strong? Just guess.
Ive got many zenith TV brochures and this set was only in the '71. Im interested in bidding on this one. Ive got a few sets to clear out to make space. Any opinions on the 12B14C50 chassis?

I was planning to bid on this one, as it's my favorite cabinet style.
