Thats the biggest "table lamp" i've ever seen :D Actually, i've never came across a Maggie in this type of configuration. Its kinda neat. I've had the Maggie Hi-Fi's like this one has. They sound great as they are tubed, had a 12 inch woofer, 8 inch mid-range and a 5 inch for the tweeter and had the nice Collaro changers that Maggies are known for. They really bring out the sound on those old records. If it was closer and more rural than Baltimore i would think about bidding on it.

I like it. I am often surprised at how different so many TV's are from one another. I never saw one like that.

Its funny how electronics are like cars. Back in the day you could tell the difference between a Zenith and a RCA like the difference between a Chevy and a Pontiac. Today no matter what it is they all look the same except for the name tags.

Good point, Tony. You know, I am in the auto repair business and like to think I know my cars. I am always humbled each time I venture to the junkyard. I am out there looking for, say, a wiring harness for a Camry. And out there they have the fronts pulled off or they are smashed, and I can't tell one from another lots of times. There was a good article in a car magazine a few years back. They had profile shots of about 30 different cars. There were only about 2 that I could identify. (a Dodge and a Pontiac) As for TV sets, sometime in the 80s the brand identity died. Thats why we love old cars-and old TV sets-I guess.

Well, it depends on how much you're studied cars. I mean, I can tell the difference between most 80s and 90s cars without too much difficulty. However, I have lost interest really in cars made after 1997 or so, so I have trouble telling the difference between those. I mean, I still can, but it is more difficult. Meanwhile, plenty of people my age have no interest in vehicles made before 1997 or so and they couldn't tell the difference between a 57 Chevy and a 59 Plymouth.
