Will probably need a CRT, you can see the brightner dangling there in the rear shot

The "Lockhaven" model. Nice upright console. Doesn't take up a lot of space.
Here's the Lockhaven, upper left, in the RCA brochure as seen on my web page:

Looks like it may be an easy restoration if anyone lives close enough to get it. The brightner might be just on there for a short in the tube instead of low emission as some of these type brightners were used for that. Seems like it has a bright enough raster providing the sellers pics arent all that great. If thats the case you might still get some life out of the tube until you find a suitable and more reliable replacement.

Sorry, it was a meant as a bit of harmless ribbing. If a guy can't poke a bit of fun at you tv guys, what is he to do. It was all in jest I assure you.

Sorry Guys,

Gremlins at work. If you want to see the RCA CTC-5 brochure, go to my site and scroll to the CTC-5 section. I'd call Bill Gates, and complain, but he's unlisted.

Sombody save this guy! I can't front the 400+ for shipping and insurance -- and that's if its pre-packed, dropped offf, and picked up at a terminal :yikes:

But I am MUCH farther away than you are---I imagine that it would be a LOT more to get it to Cincy, than to you!!

If someone could give it a ride in the near future(a month or two-- I would not mind waiting, if the seller didn't), I would grab it, if it did not go too high.

The high bid NEVER hit the 'reserve' (whatever it was) and was only $76!!

Either::
(a-- it is too far away from most people,or
(b-- no one was "in the market' for it.

STRANGE though, that it did not at least go to $200 or more!!

I think no. There is another ctc5 on ebay which looks much better than this one. And the brittener does indicate that the lifetime of the crt reached its end.
