Ive posted about this old Packard Bell set I have before, Everyone always tells me the picture is so amazingly clear, its impossible to beleve this is a tube television. Many of you lnow its hard to take pictures of TV screens, they usually come out blurred no matter how clear the picture actually is, this is probably the best picture ive taken. The backround was in motion so it came out a little bad but the banner in the front was still, the gives you an idea of how good the picture is. Just wondering if any of you have seen such a clear picture on an old set like this. I personally havnt seen a tube TV better, and this one has not been restored!!

I grew up with a Packard Bell color TV of the same vintage which was capable of an equally nice color picture (when working), but I've seen amazingly bright and crystal clear pictures on tube TV sets going back much further. RCA 630-TS comes to mind; also Farnsworth TVs of the same era.

Yeah, that IS a nice bright picture...

I think tube sets properly working are capable of making just as clear a picture and BETTER sound than any solid state receiver.

That's a cool looking set... I like those B&W sets that fool you into thinking they're color... I'm guessing that was the intent, lol.

Old Zenith tube sets are so sharp you can cut yourself just watching it.

The set was made in 1964 by the way.
