Hi all-
I don't know beans about TV's. That being said......
I wanted to get the TV guys' opinions on some thing I found. Out at the thrifts looking for audio stuff today I found a 1984 Sony Trinitron, 26",wood cabinet, controls on bottom, color adjustments etc behind little flip-down door. Hard to say how picture was under fluorescents-noticed little green display bars for volume had kind of a shadow to them. Color controls seemed to do their thing OK. Tested it with a cable to VCR-no antenna available for test purposes so all I actually know is that channel 3 works! No, I didn't find the model #, but I found the date stamping (it was huge, on the bottom shelf, I have a hurt hand anyway and was NOT going to try to turn it around on my own!). Anyway, I would appreciate any input on this set or this era and whether this set could be expected to be one of those "last-forever" TV's or if I'm barking up the wrong tree. Store wants thirty bucks for the thing.
Also have another Trini whose picture pulls in at the center like an hourglass. Anyone got any ideas on that one?
Thanks
Dan
