I was able to seperate the the messenger from the message. My wife is an engineer and she researched the the science behind the message of the film and found it to be accurate. I am concerned.

My previous post was meant as a joke,but Ive decided it was not only insulting,it was also possibly demeaning to several different groups of people that might be reading this thread.I will now delete the last post,and apologize to anyone I might have offended.

Global temperature fluctuations have played havoc with this planet since Eve told Adam his retro rhythm rock collection was getting out of hand.

Apparently, according to one study, the arctic ice mass is melting and causing a flood of freshwater to pour down over the North Atlantic. This is pushing the Gulf Stream back, which will result in a Siberia-like climate in the British Isles and there abouts and possibly Northeastern United States.

The Gulf Stream keeps the North Atlantic fairly mild; for example, Iceland temps rarely get into the low teens F. We have already seen some fairly drastic weather in the Northeast U.S. in the past few years.

I don't normally worry about stuff like that, but I read one study that said it could start happening in ten to twenty years. Like the kids say, that would suck.

What can we do about it? That's not my department. I could, however, help out with the Federal and state income tax issues that surely will arise.

Unfortunately, the government will have to get involved if it means relocating population. So when a government agent comes to your door dressed up in arctic cold weather gear and holding a clipboard, and tells you he/she is here to help, tighten your cheeks and grasp your wallet tightly.

I'll try to do this without inciting anything, but why would you have to seperate the messagner? It's a sad state of affairs when being the former Vice President of the United States and winning the popular vote for President of the United States is depremental to your credibility. I say this without regard to the individual. The same would, and I hazzard a guess will be true of the current administration.

I dunno guys- I remember going back to Richmond nearly 30 years ago, after we'd had that first REALLY ball-busting winter. They had a meteorologist on the radio, & he said the mild weather North America had enjoyed for the last 35-40 years then was coming to an end, & he foresaw cold winters, floods, droughts, hot summers, bad storms...All of which have come to pass.I don't doubt a bit all the pollution mankind has put into the air has hurt, but what about volcanoes? What about The Great Smoky Mountains? The haze you see there is a natural pollutant. W/all due respect to V.Pres Gore, I think we may just be going thru a normal heating/cooling cycle the earth goes thru. Nowadays we have all this sophisticated equipment to study stuff with,but a lot of it hasn't been in use long enuff for the scientists to get a really accurate reading on things.

Its hard to seperate the politics from the debate. The political "left" has clearly staked out their position that global warming is here, now, and cataclysmic outcomes are just around the corner. The "right" denies that this is the next big crisis to get concerned about. For every "Inconvenient Truth", there is something like this:
