This vertical problem was thought to be up to 3 different caps by an expert based on his schematic readings. I tried his advice and it did not make a change so I put those original caps back in the panel. The person I got this set from said he would send a schematic but apparently decided not to contact me again for some inappropriate personal reason which is very good. He is an alright guy who is likely very sensitive to the common man's ways.
I thought the info and pics should be posted for others inspite of the "brush-off" I recieved.
I found a schematic from a great guy who has tons of Sam's so if anybody needs one PM me and I'll "hook you up"!
I used my average level of knowledge to review the circuit and noticed a cap on the other side of the vertical shaping transistor that those previous 3 caps were connected to. I checked voltages and pulled the cap. I found a modern cap in my old Mac monitor board I use for parts. The newer cap said ".1M" I guess that is a ".1" and "M" is not relevant because the cap seems to function correctly. I will get a capacitor checker someday. I have to get a CAIG Deoxit package to do the millions of contact points in the chassis before it is done but it works great considering it is mostly original everything. If someone has an original good Motorola cap that you see in the pic I would like to buy it because I love to make everything inside and out exactly as it was originally whenever possible.
I am in Boca Raton, Florida and if ever somebody ever needs anything you may call or write anytime. I can be very helpful in many areas and I love to meet new people for any purpose!
Thanks and have a nice day!
Sincerely, Johnny
(I am having trouble with this slow computer to get the pics up. I spent an hour and a half trying so I will do it later.)

I do not recall giving you the "brush off" after I gave you the set. Due to a computer problem I did not have contact information, and I could not find your earlier posts on AK. Apparently you have changed your user name? I'm glad you got the set working and I see it still has a fantastic picture. I did find the "Tab" Motorola color service manual and I have had it sitting here in hopes you would email me so I could send it to you. PM me with your address if you're still interested and I'll get it right out.

Hi Jamie,
I am sure you mean well but what you just wrote could give a reader the impression that I have done something wrong so I must explain completely here.
I apologize to those who may think this writing is unnecessary.
I had another user name some time ago and had posted much with it but one evening I read something another user wrote and I atempted to advise this person to consider a reality about what he was writing. He responded immediately in a harsh manner and when I responded with childish "smarty pants" humor my former user name was instantly "banned" without comment or question. I was trying to be entertaining. Whomever "banned" me clearly misinterpreted my writings the wrong way. I knew that Jamie was famaliar with a few members so I sent him an email requesting him to write a head person with my apologies to turn my name back on. That was like 5 months ago. Never heard from Jamie. My emails had worked before and I thought he had my phone from prior business. Now I know all sorts of things happen and I did not mention anybody's name or personal info. I expected Jamie would see this post and know the Motorola and write me by PM if he still wanted to speak to me for any reason.
Apparently one should be very careful not to use any words that could possibly be interpreted in any way to offend any potential reader. I guess that would include humor so I will watch what I write.
Perchance anybody thinks my calling someone an expert is some sort of wisecrack just know that it is not. The man that missed the part is an expert and a very generous and cool guy who shall remain nameless. The point of that part of my story is that someone with average knowlege can sometimes do what the top level guys can do. Not often but sometimes.
I sincerely apologize to the powers that be for my blunder.
Please don't ban me again because I can help people here and I can be humorless.
