A seemingly scarce set for you to view and comment on. Sony ran this numbered, 5" color portable set out around 1995 to celebrate their 25th anniversary of Sony color televisions. Mine is dated on the bottom from November 1994 and I think I bought it new in early 1996 from a local Sony dealer. I'm not sure what year they were celebrating. Mine is #466 of 2500.

It came in a one foot square black presentation box with a black ribbon and medallion wrapped around it. There is also a numbered certificate of authenticty in a folder that I have never opened, but have peeked in to see. The set is the basic 5" Trinitron of the day. It is a soft silver plastic case and a silver metallic plated control panel on top. No remote and basic menu button controls on top.

I found very little on Google about it and am wondering where the other 2499 sets went to. Any amongst us?

The screen shot is off-air from the monopole and fair. Could not find my F to 1/8" adapter. It does make a fine picture and has only been out of the box twice. Enjoy.

It is probably the same one used in the VIC display in the Olds trofeo, like I used to have. (A relatively short tube). Probably will last a long time, too!!
