Looks like somebody butchered them for bars. I could really kick folks a*! for doing this. It is really sad that folks are so narrow minded. Any one of us would have killed for one of those sets. The cabinets look in really nice shape too. REAL SAD! :tears: :tears: :tears:

He doesn't have a large shop, but he still manages to make a tidy income each year by buying the most remarkable pieces of furniture at very, very cheap prices and selling them for immense profits. ... :D

If anyone is interested in these, they're near me. I'll be stupid enough to pick them up for you and hold them for a short period of time. I'm planning on going to the ETF Convention this spring. I might want one myself, but certainly not two!

Well, no one outbid me so I am the new owner. I bid because I need the handles and grillecloth to restore my set.

Dave, if you want one of the cabinets, please let me know as I have no room to store them. I'm in New Jersey. If anyone else wants one, please speak up. I think I will be going to the ETF convention in the spring.

If no one wants the complete cabinet I could use the lid for my Sparton mirror set. The top of my lid is in pretty bad shape.

I am glad that they will be used as televisions again.

Have they been hacked up beyond where they can be restored to TV's?
I don't think it's supposed to have hinges on the front?

They would be worth the effort to try and repair them!

Chasses usually go wanting. Collecting TVs is bad enough, but letting naked chasses pile up in the garage is really causing me to doubt my sanity. Maybe the innards for one of these sets is lurking out there just waiting to be reunited with a cabinet (hah!)

Which prompts me to ask: might anyone be needing a Fada 799 chassis (or have an empty cabinet they'e looking to get rid of)?

Sometimes chassis and cabinets do get reunited . I had a empty Bendix cabinet with doors knocking around that I got in a group of sets that I purchased. Turns out another AK member had a chassis taking up space in his garage. I now have a complete set.

I have been saving an Ratheon-Belmont 1105 Consolette cabinet that I got in the same lot but so far no chassis has surfaced. I save spare chassis also. You never know.......

I think that at least one of these Sparton cabinets though will sacrifice what parts it has left so that other sets can live on.
