Does anyone know where I'd be able to find the manual for this? :) Elenco doesn't seem to have an equivilent kit. It runs off a 9V battery and seems to be complete, but I have my doubts that a few important parts are missing. Any info would be greatly appreciated. :)

Can you at least count up the ICs to see if you have the right number? (plus any unique switches). If so, it might be possible to trace out the circuit and reverse engineer it. While doing that, you might explain what possessed you to bid on this when there are more-or-less complete color bar generators available from time to time, cheaper. Is it just the challenge? :scratch2:

It was the challenge. I love building kits. That and the fact that "Oh yeah, I'll be able to find the manual" went through my head. Plus it's small and it's the cheapest one I could find for being that small. :) There is missing parts, the RF modulator for one. And since everything is really discrete, it's a lot to reverse engineer the circuit. The silkscreen does not have part numbers or values either.

You might want to try sending him a pm, he hasn't been on here in almost a year and his post was from '06. It's worth a try though.
