hello all. i found a panasonic tr-001 handheld recently, although it's missing both the power cord and the battery pack. partsstore.com had the cord in their catalog but they're out of stock and will not be getting any more.

any thoughts on finding these parts or something compatible? i'm wondering if there's any chance panasonic used the same cord on a more common product back then.

good luck.
the sets are extreemly rare and accessories even rarer.
i need a battery for mine too.
even a bad one i can rebuild.
i have the car adaptor for mine.
its a ty-197p
forget it working without recapping. i have recapped a few for other collectors and have never seen one work as found.
i even got the magnifier with mine.

That's the AC adaptor with the CHG-OPERATE rotary switch ontop, and is larger than the TV, isn't it? If so, it might not be too hard to find because I think it also went to other Panasonic TVs. The last TR-001 I had was working as-found, but had poor sync even 20 years ago. Agreeing, a recap is most likely needed.

I had the same problem with partsstore when I ordered some plastic cabinet parts for my Panasonic CT-101 micro crt color tv. They even charged my credit card, only 3 weeks later to credit it with no explanation. When I called them they told me the parts are no longer available. Great. :thumbsdn:
