Anyone else notice the Zenith Porthole with the wrong knobs in The Aviator movie? I believe they have the wrong timeline too, the scene is suppose to be from 1947. I attached a photo of my Porthole Zenith with the correct knobs. My set isn't perfect either, The bezel has been refinished completely in gold rather than original 2 tone.

Yeah, that's not the most pristine example the prop department could've found, is it? Whoever was the person responsible for dressing the set may have had their mind on a porthole from the beginning, just figuring that a TV set with a circular screen "looks really, really old" and kinda fit the general timeframe. For chronological authenticity and a unique look of the time, my choice for use in that scene would've been
