Somewhere there's a thread about how late Zenith made their 23" Chromacolor sets. I found this one on the Bay last night...it was made in February 1981. How far from the end of the line was this one, anyway?

There was an inline 23" tube made into the early 80's, but am not sure how late...these sets would have been called "system 3"
81 is pretty late for the delta gun 23" tube, so if this set was truly made in 1981 the tube may be an inline.
If it is a delta gun tube it is a great find as even if the set doesn't work or is not a style you like as you can use the tube in any of the older 23" sets.

that set has the inline tube.
being a system 3 it may have space phone and zoom too.
hope the tube is good.
i havnt seen a good 23vcrp22 in quite a while.
i have a few rebuilt 25vfc though
and those 23v delta gun zenith tubes are great for boosting the performance of an old set.
look for 23vce and vcm.
they have the most efficient phosphors and are black matrix to boot.
