In the not to distant past I remember seeing numerous posts per day on this web site. Not it is about zero.

What has happened? Did everybody die off? Did Mouser and Digi-key go out of business? Have all of the old TVs been found and there are no more to repair?

Curious minds want to know!

People are fed up with the lack of site maintenance.

I think, mostly it's because it's summertime, and people are out and about collecting things to post about this winter. Secondly, I do think it's about lack of moderation on this forum. Just about all forums, are suffering the same fate. Other forums and websites are much bigger. In moderated and forums are simply becoming the newspaper of the electronic world. Much like the b b s services in the nineties where remember bulletin board services? I'm also a member of the TV forum over at antique radios. I've been there just about as long as here, but there's a lot more activity over there.

I checked antiqueradios.com and you are right. That looks like the normal amount of activity.

Thanks.

I'm still here. The lack of good photo uploading capability and the relative annoyance of using a 3rd party hosting service from a 5 year old smartphone with a dying touchscreen combined with me starting a YouTube channel around the time things got annoying madee taper posting threads on my projects. Since I got too busy to edit videos I've been keeping a lid on interesting projects I've recorded for future content... Realistically I'm not sure when I'll have time for my channel again and I probably should restart making threads.

People dying or moving on to next stage in life are factors.

I myself have kind of lost interest in tv sets and restoration projects also two of my good friends who lived close to me have collections we use to get together in my basement but there totally out of it but still have there sets. So between yard work and sports with grandkids on weekends not much time but did have fun collecting and chasing sets.

Its kind of unfortunate that this site and others like it are kind of dying out because this site and others like it are what got me into electronics repair/restoration to begin with, I just turned 38, and I've been posting on and off on sites like this and even just browsing looking for repair tips and things like that since I was 13 so well over 20 years.
I do electronics repair as a side job for people locally and even for people at the local flea markets and antique shops who need stuff repaired, I even collect and fix stuff for myself.

We are working on all the sites. Slowly upgrading the software, to include better photo quality as Electronic M posted above.

Seemed like admins were all on vacation while "Greystoke" was carpet bombing the whole place with a blizzard of cow pies. Ran for 3 - 4 weeks, IIRC.
