View Full Version : Looking for Advice on and RCA Set

I have found an RCA Console Set dated September of 1988.

Model number G26339HP. No Chassis number given to me at this time. The owner of this set states it does work but not correctly. They stated it may take 30-40 after turning on to have a picture. Then they said sometimes sooner than that and then sometimes longer.

Does anyone have any idea on what the issue may be. It is a nice looking set with several Audio Video hookups and also external speaker hookups on the back of the TV of course along with the traditional Coax.

Thinking maybe a possible Chassis number of CTC 149C as I currently have a 26 Inch RCA Set on the line of this one. Instead of G26339HP the one I currently have is G26139HP and just has the Coax on the back.

When it tries to come on you can hear a clicking sound in the chassis of the TV. Also, after you get the TV to come on and leave on for sometime and then shut it off and within in 15-30 minutes of powering off the TV comes right on with the Remote or the On/Off Button. If you take a hair dryer and blow warm air on the back of the TV near the power cord TV comes on much much faster.
Thanks for any advice on this.

Here's some failures from a repair database. I can't follow along, as I've rid myself of the Sams and RCA data. Hope it helps.
